Touch in a Relationship

love_relationships_250x251This one might be a tough one. By all means there can be connectivity in a relationship over long distance. But let’s be honest with each other, what is it really? Ultimately that connectivity may just be words. There’s no touch. Touch plays an important factor in a relationship. It creates a bond between two people. That bond strengthens a relationship. It creates the light force that two people should have for each other.

We can say things over the phone, perhaps talk on the internet, but what is it really. It’s just words. Words without action are just that, words. I will certainly say we can get caught up in missing a person and we can perhaps say things we don’t mean at the end of the day. But by all means a relationship is built off of the feeling that two people share for one another and through it all there has to be that key ingredient. That key is touch, it is what makes our heart go pitter patter for the other person.

Let’s take for instance when you hold someone’s hand, or perhaps they rest their head on your shoulder when their sitting next to you or maybe you hold them when their sick. It is that feeling of touch that attracts you to them. It is the warmth and security of another human being. Can we truthfully say that without touch we can have a relationship, perhaps? Perhaps we can wait it out or we can talk about how much we miss one another and in then end is it an illusion or is there a reality to it?

These can be some hard questions to answer. By all means I’m not the one to be answering them what so ever. In fact, I’m probably the last person that should be giving any kind of relationship advice. What I do know about them, I could probably fit on the tip of a pin. But I do know one thing. We all want the touch of another human being. The comfort of the person. When you hold that persons hand that your with remember to feel the rhythm of their heart passing through your finger tips. Feel what they feel. Feel the love, the warmth and the caring that they have in them for you. Feel yourself melt with them. This is what touch should do for a relationship.
